CANNON CARR

Cannon is a charismatic talent whose electric free-surfing approach has been turning heads in recent years, landing him amidst a rapidly improving young group of San Clemente surfers set to make their mark on the world stage in unprecedented fashion.

Born into a surfing family, Cannon has spent plenty of time in the water and on land with iconic hometown talents like Chris Ward, Shane Beschen, and many other kingpins of San Clemente’s rich surf scene, absorbing plenty of their tutelage and abilities along the way. Cannon and his younger brother Carson have also begun documenting their epic surfing sojourns with their peers and mentors via their “Carr Stories” Youtube channel. They can be found chasing big winter swells across the Mexican border, hucking massive airs and pushing limits over ledging shallow reefs, and sharing hilarious and daunting behind the scenes travel moments along the way.

With Cannon’s confident, go-for-broke surfing approach now being channeled into competitive prowess, he reached a QS final for the first time at the Outer Banks Pro in 2023. He’s not afraid to throw big moves while in the jersey, and as his consistency continues to flourish alongside his new-school flare, Cannon’s future in the contest arena looks bright.
