Cannon Cummins
Cannon comes from snowboard royalty, his mother Barrett Christy and father, Temple Cummins are two of the best snowboarders out of the Pacific North West. Growing up in Sequim, Washington provided the Cummins family the luxury of being in close proximity to the legendary Mt Baker resort where Cannon honed his skills on natural terrain since the day he was born.
Cannon isn't the stereotypical kid riding perfectly groomed parks every day. He grew up chasing his parents around Mt Baker perfecting his style and skills at an early age on the unpredictable natural terrain Mt Baker has to offer. Currently a senior in high school, Cannon holds his education in high regard alongside traveling around the country to film and snowboard with his friends and sponsors.
Cummins attended the annual Risk Maturity class hosted by Pat Moore at Baldface Lodge this year so he could further develop his backcountry safety and awareness capabilities. Cannon looks up to the likes of some of snowboarding’s finest, including Ben Ferguson, Arthur Longo, Blake Paul, Jared Elston and Nik Baden. Appreciating the career path each has taken by riding natural terrain, creating film and content projects and traveling with their friends. Cannon has high hopes of being one of the best backcountry freestyle snowboarders to ever do it.
For the 2023 season, Cannon is working hard to produce segments for Volcom, Vans and Dustbox film projects. Cannon enjoys competing in friendly competitions including the Vans High Standard, Holy Boly, Triple Plank and Big Wave Challenge as they are geared around fun, nothing too serious and more of a race to the finish or content play.
Cannon and his father Temple have the first of it’s kind, Father/Son pro model (GNU Banked Country) on GNU Snowboards where Cannon rode the board to finish 10th Place in the Men’s Pro division at the Legendary Banked Slalom (LBS) in February or 2023.
