Jake Canter
When Jake Canter was just seven years old he learned to snowboard in his backyard on a plastic board with no bindings. One year later, he started his competitive career, competing at Echo Mountain Resort in Evergreen, Colorado.
Hooked from the jump, it didn’t take long for Canter to land his first major win, topping the podium at the 2018 Burton US Open Jr. Jam at 14 years old.
Winter 19’-20' was a breakout winter for Canter. Earning a last- minute invite to X Games Knuckle Huck, Jake walked away with a very respectable 2nd place finish. Childhood hero Mark McMorris invited him to film for the "Brother's McMorris" web series, followed by competing in the Red Bull Recharge event at Mammoth Mountain. Canter landed on the podium again at the 2022 Laax Open, walking away with a 3rd place podium finish. During the 22’-23’ off season and winter, Jake put in the hard work and the results paid off - learning multiple 1800’s and finishing in the top ten at various World Cup events.
An Olympic hopeful, he's one of the next-generation athletes to keep a sharp eye on.
