MARIAH DURAN
Mariah Duran is a pioneer in women’s street skateboarding and one of the most respected athletes in the space. She was on the first ever Olympic team for skateboarding’s debut at the Tokyo Games, is a back to back national champion, has been an indispensable member of the USA National Team for the last four years and continues to stay on top of the game with exceptional video parts, contest results, endorsement campaigns and more.
In 2016, Duran grabbed the silver medal at X Games and released two full video parts before turning pro with Meow Skateboards. She won her first SLS podium at the World Championships in 2017 and went on to win back-to-back gold medals at the X Games.
A role model dedicated to giving back to her hometown of Albuquerque, Duran has appeared in Visit Albuquerque TV commercials and Outdoor Magazine documentaries. The mayor of the city even named August 14 “Mariah Duran Day.”
As a public speaker she has advocated for empowering girls to stay in sport and pursue their dreams. Duran’s currently focused on competition and the upcoming Olympics, as well as building her core street cred through her inspired video parts.
