Born into one of surfing’s most iconic families, Mason Ho was destined to become a true legend of the sport. Born at Sunset Beach, Oahu, he inherited his love for the ocean from his father, Michael Ho, a Pipeline Master, and uncle, Derek Ho, Hawaii’s first world champion. Meanwhile, Mason’s sister, Coco, has also made her own mark in the surfing world, competing on the WSL Championship Tour and blazing a travel for female surfers to follow for generations to come.

Since he was just a young grom sporting an unusually thick mustache, Mason has been known for his unconventional approach to surfing.
